The flickering light of the tangled canopy overhead barely reaches the ground below. In the quivering darkness, creatures dart and leap nervously past the protean lagomorphs that stalks the land. The endemic life of this region strives for adaptations to escape the notice of the greedy and vicious monsters that dominate the landscape with fear. 

Crude mimics of the apex lagomorph predators, the pseudomorphs are ambush predators that hunt by leaping from their burrows. Sailing through the air, they attempt to snatch unsuspecting prey mid-flight. Their fleshy protuberances create an audible flapping noise  when they leap that makes their flights easy to detect. They hunt constantly, zipping through the dark in hopes of catching a distracted meal.
